What's so special about using Ultrasound to place IV's?

Ultrasound (US) is unquestionably the safest and best method for IV therapy which helps alleviate needle phobia.
– “Blind Sticks” or not using ultrasound yield roughly a 50-75% success rate in hospitals whereas USIV’s have a first stick success rate of >95%.
– US allows for real-time visualization of not only veins, but also the arteries, nerves, muscles & bones to ensure the safest and most comfortable IV placement possible.
– US allows for regular rotation of vein site selection which prevents scarring of frequently used veins which should be preserved for future emergency access or blood draws.
